Tiger Muay Thai goes 2-1; Elena beats Rawai Champion Lindsay for title
Added: Monday, January 19th, 2009Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp fighters went 2-1 at Bangla stadium on January 16, 2009. The highlight of he night in an anticipated fight between rival Phuket training camps was Elena (Tiger Muay Thai) going against highly experienced and bigger Rawai fighter, Lindsay. Elena showed outstanding technique in only her 4th Muay Thai fight and dominated the fight against Lindsay winning by TKO and referee stoppage in the 4th round after Lindsay grabbed her ribs after Elena scored a massive kick to the Rawai fighters side. Lindsay showed great heart and for 3 rounds was like a machine taking everything Elena hit her with. Bleeding and hurt Lindsay came out for the 4th round and Elena showed her conditioning and turned on the power to end the fight.
Federico from Argentina put on a good fight and looked good, but his opponent had a big edge in experience and cut Federico over his eye forcing the referee to stop the fight. Good first fight for Federico despite loss.
Prathet returned to the ring with a resounding KO in the 2nd round. Prathet turned on his boxing skills after training with WBO Champion Michael Katsidis this month and landed a big overhand right that knocked out his Thai opponent.
Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp fighters scored 2 knock-outs on way to a 2-1 evening with the highlight being Elena winning by TKO over Rawai champion Lidsay for the Bangla Championship. Prathet scored a 2nd round KO in a return to the Muay Thai ring.
